Perhaps I should expand on this more but there are indeed institutions of power and privilege that belong to nonwhites. Cancel culture, affirmative action, black student governments, black caucus, BET, etc.

To define power as belonging entirely to one race complete and exclusively is not to understand power.

I would also point out, I never said that I was placing the blame entirely on DiAngelo for this misconception. However, hers is the first time I've seen someone write a book about this. Also, she has reaped the greatest financial success promoting this lie as far as I know.
