First, black women are not the most educated. This false assertion was based on the (false) claim that black women have the highest enrollment in college.

Even assuming that this statement were true (which it is not), being enrolled in college does not mean you’re educated. It means, at best, that you’ve started an education. Consider a leading scientist in a STEM field who isn’t currently enrolled in school. Obviously, this person is more educated than a college freshman, even though the college freshman happens to be enrolled in school, while the STEM scientist is not.

I would call it intellectual dishonesty to suggest that black women are the most educated, but the attempt at presenting black women as having the most bachelor’s degrees conferred was so clumsy and flawed, I am loathe to call it “intellectual” anything.
